The Work:
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer SME with deep expertise in modern application engineering, distributed systems, and secure software delivery. This individual will serve as the primary technical authority for frontend and backend development, enterprise architecture, modernization initiatives, and DevSecOps practices across complex and regulated environments.
The Full Stack Software Engineer SME will lead full‑stack development efforts using contemporary frameworks and messaging technologies, oversee application modernization toward cloud‑native and containerized platforms, and ensure secure, scalable, and high‑performing solutions that align with zero‑trust principles and enterprise interoperability needs.
Here is what you'll need:
- 10+ years of experience in designing and developing enterprise-scale software solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Strong hands‑on experience with frontend/UI development using JavaScript frameworks (React).
- Advanced development skills in Node.js for backend and middleware services.
- Professional experience developing in Python for API, automation, or data-driven workloads.
- Experience building and integrating GraphQL APIs (or similar technologies such as REST, gRPC, or tRPC).
- Working knowledge of search engines such as ElasticSearch or OpenSearch for indexing and data retrieval.
- Experience with message brokers, especially RabbitMQ (or related platforms such as Apache Kafka).
- Proficiency with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
- Familiarity with Generative AI concepts, tooling, or model integration
Bonus points you might have:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
- Exposure to OpenCTI, an open-source cyber threat intelligence platform (experience with Docker, MITRE ATT&CK, or CTI workflows beneficial).
- Experience with AssemblyLine, malware analysis frameworks, or similar security automation pipelines.
- Experience supporting federal, defense, intelligence, or highly regulated environments.
- Expertise in cloud-native architectures, microservices, containers, and modern application platforms.
- Experience addressing cross-domain or cross-enclave interoperability challenges.
- Knowledge of zero-trust architecture and secure enterprise application development.
- Relevant certifications in cloud technologies, software architecture, Agile, cybersecurity, or DevSecOps.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
