Description

The International Project Management Team

The International Project Management Team is a rapidly growing service offering at Alarm.com. The team provides continuous, high-impact support to international business initiatives, including successful partner service launches, delivery of strategic technical requirements, comprehensive global product deployments, and project management consulting for high-impact initiatives.

Project Managers are engaged from early planning through launch and post-launch execution, supporting international business efforts with a disciplined, end-to-end approach across every stage of the project lifecycle. We are building a strong, globally minded team and are looking for exceptional individuals to join us.

The Role

Project Managers are responsible for ensuring complex service and product launches meet customer expectations and align with regional market needs and requirements. They coordinate in-region project strategy and execution and lead efforts to resolve complex service, product, and platform release planning challenges that impact business and field operations.

As a Project Manager, you will work as part of a driven, collaborative team to apply project management discipline to complex international launches and initiatives.

Your mission is to synthesize disconnected inputs - opinions, requests, technical constraints, and business requirements - into cohesive, executable plans that drive successful outcomes.

Project Managers are hands-on problem solvers who immerse themselves in our customers’ most intricate business needs and take ownership of executing complex international service and product launches. They actively work through ambiguity and challenges to drive launch success, often operating with a high degree of discipline and grit. At times, Project Managers may be embedded with Alarm.com internal operations and product teams. The role requires curiosity, strong analytical thinking, sound product intuition, a structured and disciplined approach to execution, resilience in the face of obstacles, and a high degree of empathy to drive issues to resolution.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop deep technical knowledge of Alarm.com architecture and solutions, applying strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills to complex initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and manage detailed project plans in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple parallel workstreams.
  • Lead key stakeholders in defining project scope and gathering accurate, complete business and technical requirements.
  • Create and manage cost estimates, milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute on technical requirements, enhancements, and bug fixes aligned with service launch timelines.
  • Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams - including field ops, legal, sales operations, certifications, localization, training, account management, technical account management, support, and marketing - to plan and execute global product deployments across international markets.
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and with high quality.
  • Ensure projects are thoroughly documented to support transparency, continuity, and risk mitigation.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure delivery against commitments.
  • Interface with senior leadership and customers as needed, representing Alarm.com on significant project matters.
  • Provide clear, concise project status updates and reporting to leadership, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We Value

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships, clearly articulate rationale, and influence outcomes.
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with experience collaborating with enterprise customers across varying levels of technical sophistication.
  • Strong risk management capabilities, including early identification and transparent communication to stakeholders.
  • High empathy and customer focus, with a drive to understand stakeholder needs and enable success.
  • Comfort operating in highly iterative planning environments - moving quickly, adapting to feedback, and prioritizing collaboration.
  • Preferred: Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint, with the ability to leverage them effectively for planning, tracking, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
  • 2+ years of experience in a project management, implementation, or related role.
  • Professional English proficiency required; additional language skills are a plus.
