About the role
As a People Operations Associate, you will support a smooth and engaging employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding. You’ll work closely with HRBPs, Recruitment, Payroll, Benefits, and other teams to coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, maintain accurate employee records, and provide timely support to new hires, managers, departing employees, and former employees
What you’ll do
- Execute day-to-day People Operations activities across the employee lifecycle, including employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Serve as a point of contact for new hires and managers, providing timely support on onboarding and HR-related inquiries.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth and engaging onboarding experience.
- Ensure all onboarding requirements are completed accurately and within established timelines.
- Process new hire I-9 documentation as part of the onboarding process, ensuring compliance with employment eligibility verification requirements.
- Ensure timely endorsement of benefits enrollment and cancellation requests to brokers and vendors.
- Maintain accurate employee data and documentation in Workday and other HR systems.
- Process employee terminations in Workday based on requests submitted through the Jira ticketing system and manage required offboarding activities and documentation.
- Prepare and issue offboarding and employment-related documents to leaving and former employees.
- Collaborate with Payroll, Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, Benefits, and other HR teams to ensure seamless and timely delivery of onboarding and offboarding services.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in HR, People Operations, HR Administration, or a related field
- Experience supporting employee onboarding
- Experience with US onboarding processes and tools, including Form I-9, E-Verify, and background checks
- Experience using Workday or other HRIS tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Atoms is a company driven by invention and continuous change - we are constantly reimagining our industries, building new products, and refining how we operate. We do our best work together. That’s why all of our office-based teams work onsite, five days a week.
