Description

We are currently seeking Trade Finance Lawyers to support Axiom clients across financial services, banking, commodities, corporate, infrastructure and other industry sectors on a broad range of domestic and international trade-finance, export-finance, supply-chain-finance and related banking matters.

Responsibilities:

Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice on trade-finance matters, including letters of credit, demand guarantees, standby letters of credit, performance bonds, receivables finance, supply-chain finance and export finance.
Draft, review and negotiate trade-finance and related documentation, including facility agreements, guarantees, security documents, letters of credit, trade instruments, ancillary finance documents and transaction documentation.
Advise banks, financial institutions, corporates, exporters, importers, treasury teams and internal stakeholders on transaction structures, documentation, risk and commercial considerations.
Partner with legal, finance, treasury, commercial, risk, compliance, external counsel and deal teams to support domestic and international transactions throughout their lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified lawyer eligible to practise in the UK, or an equivalent qualification with relevant trade-finance, banking and finance or cross-border finance experience, and right to work in the UK.
Experience advising on one or more trade-finance areas, including letters of credit, guarantees, documentary credits, supply-chain finance, receivables finance, export finance or structured trade finance.
Strong drafting, review and negotiation experience across trade-finance, lending, security or related commercial documentation.
Excellent commercial awareness, drafting ability, communication, stakeholder-management and analytical skills, with the ability to deliver practical, business-focused advice in fast-paced transaction environments.
