Description

MKTQ427R44

We are looking for a creative, passionate and well-rounded individual to join our marketing team to help us lead industry marketing for strategic areas like manufacturing, supply chain, and operations. Our mission is to bridge the gap between technology and business needs with messaging for industries, departments, and solutions. This is a highly collaborative strategic role that works closely with many other functions to go deeper in some of our most strategic areas.

As a Sr. Industry Marketing Manager at Databricks, you will lead industry messaging and content and guide GTM programs within the industry and department marketing team. You will work with sales, other marketers and our customers to build awareness, demand generation and sales enablement programs that help achieve pipeline goals. You will also create thought leadership content through editorials, blogs, white papers, industry and partner events. This role reports to the Sr. Group Manager, Industry & Solutions Marketing.

Ideal candidates will have a proven record of impact in areas like supply chain, manufacturing, and operations with strong data & AI understanding, and expertise in use cases and solutions. You’ll have a broad understanding of the industry and have a strong point of view from working with customers and partners on what comes next. You’ll understand the important role AI and GEO play in marketing and have a track record of scaling yourself and others through technology. Finally, you’ll have experience building strategies to engage personas across manufacturing and supply chain, from practitioners to decision-makers.

The impact you will have

  • Establish a differentiated messaging and positioning framework for manufacturing, supply chain, and operations, with cross-functional adoption across priority campaigns, launches, sales engagements, and customer-facing content.
  • Deliver integrated go-to-market programs for priority industry personas that meet agreed engagement and pipeline targets, with performance tracked through defined campaign metrics.
  • Build an industry content portfolio that increases awareness and engagement among practitioners, executives, and decision-makers, measured by agreed reach, engagement, and content-sourced or influenced pipeline goals.
  • Establish a repeatable engine for customer proof and thought leadership that strengthens executive conversations, including published customer stories, editorial content, executive events, and other approved external assets.
  • Launch industry solutions with the required positioning, content, enablement, and measurement in place by agreed launch dates, then use post-launch performance data to improve adoption and pipeline contribution.
  • Improve seller effectiveness in the target industries through adopted sales plays, presentations, battlecards, prospecting templates, and training, measured through asset usage, training participation, seller feedback, and opportunity impact.
  • Own the industry event strategy for manufacturing, supply chain, and operations, generating qualified executive engagement and sourced or influenced pipeline against agreed event goals.

What we look for

  • 7+ years of experience marketing or deploying technology solutions for manufacturing, supply chain, and/or operations, with a record of measurable business impact.
  • Demonstrated success developing positioning and messaging for complex B2B technology products and translating technical capabilities into industry-specific use cases and business outcomes.
  • Experience setting and executing industry or product marketing strategy across launches, integrated campaigns, content, sales enablement, and field or partner programs.
  • Experience using customer, market, and competitive insights to prioritize messaging, content, campaigns, and go-to-market investments.
  • Customer-facing experience presenting to executives and decision-makers and developing thought leadership, customer proof points, or executive engagement programs.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership in a matrixed organization, including the ability to set direction, align stakeholders, resolve dependencies, and move strategic work forward as the accountable owner.
  • Strong written, verbal, and strategic communication skills, with the ability to connect data and AI technologies to practical manufacturing, supply chain, and operations outcomes.
