As our Engineering Manager based in Ho Chi Minh City, you’ll lead the charge in ensuring our product features are delivered to market smoothly, efficiently, and with impact.

🌟 WHAT YOUR MAIN FOCUS WILL BE:

1. Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Own system architecture and technical direction across products
• Drive design decisions with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Lead design reviews and ensure high engineering standards
• Provide technical guidance and unblock teams on complex problems

2. Engineering Excellence & Delivery

• Establish and enforce best practices across development, testing, and deployment
• Ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable system delivery
• Drive continuous improvement in performance, stability, and engineering processes
• Partner with Product to ensure strong execution and predictable delivery

3. People Leadership & Team Performance

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers and team leads
• Set clear goals, expectations, and performance standards
• Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning
• Support hiring and team scaling as the organization grows

4. Data-Driven Management & Reporting

• Track and analyze key engineering metrics (delivery, quality, incidents)
• Use data to drive decision-making and improve team performance
• Provide clear, structured updates to leadership and stakeholders

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to align priorities
• Ensure clear communication and strong ownership across teams
• Translate business needs into effective technical execution

🌟 WHAT YOU BRING:

✅ Educational Background: Bachelor of Information Technology, or relevant field.

✅ Technical Expertise (Core Requirement)

• 8+ years in software engineering with strong technical foundation
• Prior experience as Engineering Manager / Technical Manager
• Strong knowledge of: System design & architecture, Scalable backend systems, Database design & optimization
• Experience reviewing and guiding technical solutions (without coding)

✅ AI-First Engineering & Innovation

• Hands-on experience leveraging AI technologies (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalent AI coding assistants) to improve engineering productivity, software delivery, and technical decision-making.
• Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, and Agentic AI, with practical experience applying AI across modern software development workflows and AI-Driven Software Development Lifecycles (AIDLC).
• Ability to lead AI adoption by establishing engineering best practices and enabling teams to leverage AI effectively while maintaining high standards for architecture, software quality, reliability, and security.

• Ability to influence engineers without micromanaging
• Balance between technical depth and strategic thinking
• Passion for building high-quality engineering teams

✅ Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Strong communication skills in English
• Experience working with global teams (UK is a plus)
• Ability to translate business needs into technical direction

• Experience working with B2B SaaS products in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Experience leading or contributing to legacy system modernization and technical transformation initiatives.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Selected candidates will receive a take-home Case Study to be completed within 2 days. This assignment is designed to assess your strategic thinking, technical leadership, AI-driven mindset, and ability to solve complex engineering and business challenges before progressing to the final interview stage.

✅ Step 4 | Onsite Panel Interview (~2 hours, conducted in English)
Candidates who successfully pass the case study will be invited to present their solution, followed by an interactive Q&A session with our VN Engineering Management Team. This session allows us to explore your thought process, technical leadership, system architecture decisions, engineering strategy, AI-driven practices, communication skills, problem-solving approach, and overall fit for the role.
