In case you’re wondering, it’s pronounced Koh-KOO-ah. In Hawaiian, Kokua means to come together to fulfill a need and we’re excited to have you join us in connecting students with classroom role models who can empower them to be their best. Our Denver partner schools are currently seeking a long-term certified special education substitute teacher to support their students.
Please note that candidates need to have a Colorado Special Education certification to be considered for this position (Bachelor's degree + state-approved program for special education generalists or 24 semester hours deemed acceptable by the CDE may also qualify with the right experience).

You’ll need:
- Colorado Special Education certification
- Bachelor's degree + state-approved program for special education generalists or 24 semester hours deemed acceptable by the CDE
- 1+ year(s) experience working with students
- Confidence to manage a classroom of students
- Ability to pass state & federal background check
- Strong belief that every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world
