Description

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Child Protection Advanced Social Worker to join its client’s Family Safeguarding Service, where collaborative, relationship‑based practice and early intervention are at the heart of driving meaningful and lasting change for children and families. This is an opportunity for professionals who are confident to challenge, eager to learn, and motivated to make a real impact. With roles available on a permanent or short‑term contract basis, this position offers a supportive environment where your skills are valued, your ideas are heard, and your practice can continue to develop while helping shape the future for Swindon’s children and families.

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver high‑quality child protection practice, ensuring children’s safety, welfare and lived experiences remain at the centre of all decision‑making
  • Apply the Family Safeguarding Model to work collaboratively with partner agencies, supporting families to achieve meaningful and lasting change
  • Build strong, reflective relationships with children, families and professionals, even where situations are complex and challenging
  • Contribute to continuous service improvement, sharing your expertise to influence practice, decisions and positive outcomes

Our Offer to You:

At Swindon, social workers are supported, valued, and trusted to deliver their best practice. You’ll join a team where managers prioritise wellbeing, professional development, balanced caseloads, and meaningful supervision. Working collaboratively with committed colleagues and partners, you’ll help make a real difference for children and families. With genuine flexibility and hybrid working on offer, the role supports a healthy work–life balance.
Your next package
  • Relocation allowance of up to £8,000 (eligibility criteria applies)
  • Competitive salaries
  • Free car parking at our central Swindon campus and easy commuter links to many locations

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Keep children firmly at the centre of your practice at all times
  • Bring strong statutory social work skills alongside care, curiosity and professional confidence
  • Be committed to learning, development and reflective practice
  • Thrive as part of a collaborative, improvement‑focused team

Candidates must be fluent in the English language, as required under Part 7 of the Immigration Act, for the effective performance of a customer‑facing role.

Benefits:

  • A team that supports each other.
  • Leaders who are visible and approachable.
  • Space to do the job properly, not just quickly.
  • Competitive, transparent salaries that recognise your experience and expertise
  • Relocation allowance of up to £8,000 (eligibility criteria apply)
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements, built on trust and professional autonomy
  • Excellent benefits, including membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Free parking at our central Swindon campus and great transport links to surrounding areas
  • Free access to Research and Practice resources

Required Qualifications: To be eligible for this role, you must be a qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.

Your Development:

You will be supported to grow your career in a way that works for you. Swindon’s Social Work & Leadership Academy provides structured learning, leadership development and progression opportunities, recognising and building excellent practice at every stage of your career.

Your Next Package:

  • Competitive and transparent salary reflecting your experience and expertise
  • Relocation allowance of up to £8,000 (eligibility criteria apply)
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements, built on trust and professional autonomy
  • Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Free car parking at the central Swindon campus with excellent commuter links
  • Access to research and evidence‑based practice resources

As a member of the team, you will be part of a diverse and forward‑thinking organisation that values creativity, innovation and a healthy work‑life balance. Swindon is undergoing significant regeneration and transformation, and this is an exciting time to join the journey, share your expertise and drive real, positive change for children and families.

Required Qualifications:

To be eligible for this role, you must be a qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England.

Reasonable Adjustments:

If you consider yourself to have a disability or require any reasonable adjustment during the recruitment process or within the workplace, please highlight this at the earliest opportunity by contacting our team. With this information, we will provide appropriate support to you throughout the process and into your work placement.

We are unable to support or accept applications from candidates who are residents within the Red or Amber list of the Code of Practice for the International Recruitment of Health and Social Care Personnel in England, based on the World Health Organisation (WHO) Workforce Support and Safeguard List.
