Occupational Therapist - Manual Handling

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join its client’s Manual Handling Team within Suffolk Adult Social Care for a short-term assignment focused on manual handling assessments and care package reviews.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Delivering safe and timely front-line OT services across the directorate
- Supporting triage and reducing duplication between health and social care to manage OT waiting lists
- Advising and supporting external care providers on safe moving and handling practices
- Reviewing care packages to ensure best value and optimal use of equipment
- Assessing and reducing double-handed care packages where appropriate
- Providing mutual aid to other OT areas as needed
- Completing OT assessments and reviews in line with best practice

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC registration
- Experience to Band 6 level or equivalent
- Manual handling expertise essential
- Local authority experience preferred (NHS also considered)
- Must be local to Lowestoft or able to commute daily
