Social Worker - Cared for Children

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Cared for Children's Team at Knowsley.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dedicated team supporting children and young people in care, ensuring they achieve the best possible outcomes through effective care planning, permanence planning, and statutory intervention.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of Cared for Children and Young People.
- Complete statutory visits, assessments, and care planning.
- Undertake permanence planning and pathway planning where required.
- Prepare reports and attend court proceedings.
- Work closely with foster carers, residential providers, families, and partner agencies.
- Contribute to care reviews and ensure plans are progressed effectively.
- Maintain accurate and timely case records.
Requirements
- Social Work England registration.
- Qualified Social Worker status.
- Previous experience working within a Cared for Children, Looked After Children, or Children in Care Team.
- Experience completing court work and preparing court reports.
- Strong knowledge of children's legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
