Social Worker – Children and Families

What will your responsibilities be?
- Hold and manage a caseload of Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children cases.
- Undertake statutory assessments in line with legislation, guidance, and local procedures.
- Formulate, implement, monitor, and review child-centred plans to ensure children’s safety and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve sustainable and timely outcomes for children.
- Ensure the voice of the child is central to all assessments, planning, and decision-making.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and high-quality case records and reports using electronic systems.
- Participate in supervision and reflective practice with the Team Manager or Assistant Team Manager.
- Work in accordance with North Yorkshire County Council policies and statutory requirements.

Skills and Qualification Required:
To be successful in this role you must have;
- Degree level qualification in Social Work (or equivalent).
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Post-qualified experience within Children’s Services.
- Experience working with CIN, CP, and LAC cases.
- Strong knowledge of statutory social work legislation and safeguarding frameworks.
- Ability to work effectively with families and partner agencies.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
