Perform a variety of duties in the Rehabilitation Therapy Unit and perform rehabilitation treatments
- 100% paid costs to obtain specialized training in canine rehabilitation via Canine Rehabilitation Institute. This is equivalent to >$10,000!!! You will become a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Technician (CCRVT) and retain this certification for your lifetime career.

Qualifications
- NYS Veterinary Technicianās license (or permit)
- Ability to handle and restrain all species of animal
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend or kneel for extended periods of time while helping with patient restraint
- Must be able to work successfully as part of a team
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Follow detailed directions and established protocols
- Electronic medical record experience preferred
- Must have flexibility necessary to work weekends, holidays and additional hours as needed
- CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner) CCRVT (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Veterinary Technician) or CCRA (Certified Canine Rehabilitation assistant) is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Rehabilitation treatments including exercising, massage, hot/cold packing, tub/treadmill treatments, ultrasound, hot/cold therapy, laser treatments and acupuncture
- Assess patients on discharge
- Communicate professionally with clients and referral veterinarians regarding the patientās rehabilitation progress
- Maintain concise and accurate records of the patientās treatment progress and charges
- Assist in planning, performing and tailoring rehabilitation treatments according to patientās needs
- Maintain the cleanliness of Rehabilitation Department
- Order and stock supplies as necessary
- All other related duties as assigned
