Description
We are seeking a Server Assistant to provide pleasurable dining experiences by ensuring professional, timely, food and beverage service to residents, family members, guests, and/or staff according to established dining standards. Ensures that all food sanitation guidelines are being met. The successful candidate will maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor, be able to multitask and problem solve. This position reports to the Restaurant Manager.
This position is part-time; weeknight, weekend, and holiday availability required
Required:
- Good interaction and communication skills
- English language proficiency
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Welcomes all tables with a warm and friendly greeting.
- Assures accuracy of food orders and serves food in a safe, sanitary, timely manner.
- Always maintains a neat and orderly appearance.
- Completes related tasks and side work as assigned.
- Demonstrates a positive, respectful, and professional team approach and communicates effectively with residents, peers, and managers.
- Consistently communicates resident and guests concerns to supervisors and/or management.
- Assists in maintaining and achieving departmental sanitation standards and goals.

The hourly base wage range provided is a good faith estimate of what Mather reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. The actual hourly rate offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, certifications, years of experience, geographic location, and current market conditions. This position may be eligible to participate in Mather’s benefit plan and the Team Member Appreciation Fund, if applicable. Eligibility for benefits is dependent on employment status and hours worked per pay period. The Mather is a Life Plan Community in Tysons, Virginia, for those 62 and better that defies expectations of what senior living is supposed to be. More than a luxury residence, The Mather is in an enviable walkable, urban neighborhood, close to the Metro and all the DC area has to offer. Opened in March 2024, The Mather includes 293 independent living apartment homes, as well as assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing, along with multiple restaurants, a fitness center, art studio, gardens and more.
The Mather is located at 7929 Westpark Drive, Tysons.
