Nanny– Washington, DC
A family in Washington, DC 20001 is seeking a warm, dependable, and experienced part-time nanny to care for their three young children, ages ~6 months, ~2.5 years old, and ~4 years old. This is a long-term position for someone who enjoys working with young children while helping keep the household running smoothly during the afternoon and early evening.
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday 3:00 PM–7:00 PM
- Start Date: September (possibility of earlier or later start date. Timing is somewhat flexible late August-early November).
Family Specifications:
- Smoke-free home
- Pet-free home
Responsibilities:
- Arrive at 3:00 PM to assist with children's laundry, toy organization, and light tidying
- Walk to pick up the children from school/daycare (schools are within a 5–10 minute walk)
- Provide attentive care for all three children
- Prepare light meals and snacks
- Engage the children in age-appropriate play and activities
- Overlap with parents at the end of the shift to help with the evening transition
Requirements:
- Experience caring for infants and young children
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified
- Strong English communication skills (Spanish or French speakers are also welcomed)
- Dependable, nurturing, and organized
- Comfortable managing the routines of multiple young children
Compensation:
- $25–$30 per hour, depending on experience
