Main Street Animal Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian with strong surgical skills to join our thriving small animal veterinary hospital in Oakland, Tennessee.
As one of the region's trusted destinations for orthopedic surgery, advanced soft tissue procedures, chiropractic care, and companion animal medicine, we offer an exciting opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys challenging cases, values collaboration, and wants to practice advanced medicine with the support of an experienced team.
This position is ideal for a doctor looking to expand their surgical caseload while maintaining a healthy work-life balance in a well-established, growth-focused practice.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a veterinarian who:
- Experienced in orthopedic procedures or eager to expand their surgical skill set in this area
- Is confident managing surgical cases such as TPLOs, fracture repairs, splenectomies, mass removals, and dentistry
- Enjoys collaborating with colleagues and support staff
- Provides exceptional client communication and patient care
- Is licensed (or eligible for licensure) in Tennessee
Certification in Animal Chiropractic is highly valued but not required.

About Main Street Animal Clinic
Main Street Animal Clinic is a four-doctor veterinary practice known throughout the region for advanced surgical capabilities and comprehensive patient care.

- Orthopedic surgery (TPLO, CCL repair, FHO, fracture repair)

Our Medical Director, Dr. Barry Miller, has extensive interests in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, TPLO procedures, and preventive care. Our team also includes a board-certified pet chiropractor with expertise in laser therapy and ultrasound.
We pride ourselves on fostering a culture built on teamwork, communication, and professional growth. Our doctors are supported by skilled technicians, advanced equipment, multiple exam rooms, a dedicated feline room, and a private comfort room.

Compensation
- Up to $140,000 Base Salary (varies based on qualifications/experience)
- Quarterly production bonus with no negative accrual.

Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location. You will be provided more detailed information about compensation and benefits for your specific location.
