  • Experience negotiating and managing complex procurement, construction. supply and services agreements, including familiarity with FIDIC-based contracting.
  • Experience advising on complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, funding structures and jurisdictions, including management of external counsel where required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary legal business partner for Yondr's design, construction and operations teams across EMEA, leading legal support across the procurement, construction and operation of Yondr's data centre portfolio.
  • Attend and lead weekly project, commercial, procurement and operational meetings and provide practical legal support on live matters.
  • Lead negotiations of Heads of Terms, D&B and other works agreements, consultant appointments, framework agreements and other key project and commercial documentation (including PCGs, Bonds, CWs).
  • Coordinate investor, lender, customer and other stakeholder contractual requirements (including funders' requirements around ancillary and security documents such as collateral warranties, PCGs and bonds) with internal stakeholders and external counsel, ensuring that project documentation appropriately reflects upstream obligations, leasing and project-specific requirements.
  • Support leasing workstreams and ensure construction and operational documentation aligns with, and remains compliant with, Yondr's leasing obligations.
  • Support the development and implementation of Yondr's contracting strategy, including standard forms, contracting positions and negotiation playbooks.
  • Advise on project delivery, contract administration and claims management matters, including variations, notices, payment issues and dispute avoidance.
  • Manage contracts governed by multiple legal systems, coordinating with and managing external counsel across various jurisdictions to ensure consistent contracting positions and compliance with applicable legal and stakeholder requirements.
  • Provide pragmatic day-to-day legal support across the EMEA business, including the review and negotiation of commercial, technology, software, workplace, professional services, confidentiality and intra-group agreements.
  • Identify and appropriately escalate material legal, commercial, contractual, regulatory and strategic risks to the Legal Director EMEA and VP General Counsel.
  • Support the development of legal processes, governance standards and risk management frameworks across the business, including driving contract lifecycle automation and the continued implementation and utilisation of Ironclad as Yondr's contract management platform.

Requirements

  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong commercial judgement and appreciation of business objectives when providing legal advice.
