Job Title: Social Worker
Team: Children's Social Work
Salary: £34,314 - £42,708 (+15% Market Supplement)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for several Social Workers to join a Children & Families Service within Middlesbrough.

Available Teams & Key Requirements
Looked After Children (LAC)
- Experience in care planning and permanency pathways
- Strong understanding of statutory responsibilities for children in care
- Ability to build lasting relationships with children and carers
- Skilled in multi-agency working and court report writing
Assessment Team
- Confident in completing timely and thorough assessments
- Knowledge of thresholds and early intervention strategies
- Ability to manage high-volume caseloads with efficiency
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Safeguarding Team
- Proven experience in child protection and risk management
- Ability to lead strategy discussions and attend case conferences
- Skilled in writing and presenting reports for court proceedings
- Familiarity with care proceedings and legal frameworks
Edge of Care Team
- Experience supporting families to prevent care entry
- Creative problem-solving and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to build trust and resilience in families
- Familiarity with intensive support models and short-term interventions

What We’re Looking For
- Registered with Social Work England
- Completed ASYE & 2 years post qualified
- Recent experience of case work in Child Protection, Children in Need, Court work and Care Proceedings, Assessment
- Excellent communication, analysis, and safeguarding skills
- Knowledge of key legislation and ability to use a strengths-based approach
- Full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle
