Position Objective

Overall responsibility for scheduling surgical/procedural patients' surgical/procedural procedures achieving 98% accuracy rate.

Essential Job Duties

  1. Communicates professionally with physicians, physicians' office staff and co-workers providing excellent customer service skills and works collaboratively with a variety of individuals.
  2. Create and schedule patients for surgical/procedural procedures in the appropriate Scheduling module. As needed prints daily OR schedule for the following day as well as weekend schedule.
  3. Answers all incoming phone calls with proper greeting 100% of the time. Continuously checks department and individual voicemail throughout the day returning phone messages promptly.
  4. Responds to department emails as assigned in department rotation.
  5. Rearranges cases upon request of physicians or physicians' staff and/or charge nurse of HP OR, ESP OR, Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath lab.

Educational/Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of related work experience with knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is required

Pay Range

$19 — $24.93 USD per hour
