SUMMARY

The Training Manager will provide, at a minimum, planning, schedules, coordinates, facilitates, and present training focused on providing the highest quality security personnel for the contracts supported by the Federal Services Division (FSD).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, meetings, and conferences, as directed by the FSD Management team;
  • Responsible for all contract training compliance mandates;
  • Coordinates and facilitates all training programs, re-training programs, annual in-service training, and specialized training sessions for security officers;
  • Measures progress and effectiveness of training; scores and tracks all required training information utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS);
  • Supports onboarding activities within the FSD and delivers orientation training to new employees;
  • Maintains records and prepares accurate and timely reports both manually and through automated methods (LMS);
  • Tracks weapons training and qualification requirements, including weapons and ammunition inventories.
  • Conduct training;
  • Oversee other trainers conducting training;
  • Regulate, create, monitor training schedules;
  • Compile, organize, and audit documentation to be submitted;
  • Conduct QC Audits (internal);
  • Run reports to ensure 100% current licensure;
  • Records and maintains all subordinate trainers’ certification requirements and credentials;
  • Regulate licensure to ensure 100% compliance
  • Other duties as assigned

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The
requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable

  • The Training Manager shall have a minimum of a BA degree, or comparable education and
    specialized experience in law enforcement, criminal justice or security program management; and
    have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in the last ten (10) years in teaching security and
    law enforcement subjects at the adult education level.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
    procedures, or governmental regulations using English language.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, other employees of the organization and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.
  • Ability to apply concepts as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, the Training Manager must possess intermediate to advanced skills in
Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and should have a working
knowledge of Learning Management Systems, Internet programs, and other software as required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS

  • Current/valid state driver’s license
  • CPR/AED/First Aid Certification

OHER QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. Must be a United States citizen. Ability to obtain State Trainer Certification, Weapons Trainer Certification (NRA, etc.)
